Sister of Timberwolves’ Naz Reid allegedly slain by boyfriend

Jackson, NJ – The Sister of the Minnesota Timberwolves player, Naz Reid, was fatally killed in a New Jersey apartments this weekend, and the authorities said on Monday that her boyfriend was accused of murder.

Police went to the Paragon apartments complex in Jackson around 11 a.m. on Saturday after receiving shots. They quickly found Toraya Reid, 28, who did not respond near the exit of the complex, and she had apparently been shot dead several times, said the County prosecutor Bradley Billhimer. The police also saw Shaquille Green, 29, from Jackson to run on a neighboring road, and he was quickly placed in police custody without incident.

In addition to the number of murders, Green also faces two accusations of weapons. Billhimer said that Reid and Green had been in “a meeting relationship” but had not provided additional details.

Green remained imprisoned on Monday and the prosecutors did not know if he had kept a lawyer.

Reid, 25, from New Jersey and star school player in his country of origin, is about to enter his seventh season with Minnesota and recently signed a five -year contract with the team. He was appointed the sixth man of the year of the NBA for the 2023-24 season.

In a social media position on Monday afternoon, his teammate Karl-Anthony Towns said that he had “broken heart” in an apparent response to the news.

Reid agents did not immediately respond to an email asking for comments on Monday.

Jackson is a community in the south of New Jersey at around 31 miles (50 kilometers) northeast of Philadelphia.
