‘Smears Fuel Violence Against Agents’

In a new smear against U.S. DHS Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officers and agents who conduct targeted enforcement operations to deport criminal illegal aliens, Democrats on the House Homeland Security Committee accused the Department of Homeland Security of lying in a Friday X replay of a video saying, “DHS will lie. They always do.” The video purports to show a man suffering a medical crisis as ICE agents arrest his wife.
The video, amplified by Democrats on X, shows a man feigning a seizure as officers arrest his wife, an Ecuadorian national wanted for violent stabbing. DHS officials say the incident was distorted to defame law enforcement and incite hostility, citing anti-Semitic threats and false narratives endangering federal agents.
In the original post highlighted by Democrats on the House Homeland Security Committee, the agents are accused of grabbing the father of a toddler in the vehicle by the neck, subjecting him to a violent fit as the agents attempted to arrest his wife in Fitchburg, Massachusetts, on Thursday. In the video, a toddler can be seen resting on the father’s chest while he sits behind the wheel.
The House Democratic Caucus further exclaims: “Is this true? The WORST OF THE WORST?? Absolutely not. And shame on anyone who says otherwise.”
Shortly afterward, the Department of Homeland Security issued a harsh rebuttal providing clarification on the circumstances of the arrest. According to DHS Deputy Secretary for Public Affairs Tricia McLaughlin, the arrest was a targeted enforcement action of Juliana Milena-Ojeda-Montoya, a criminal illegal alien from Ecuador who was released into the United States in 2023 under the Biden administration after entering illegally near Lukeville, Arizona.
According to McLaughlin, Ojeda-Montoya was the subject of an arrest warrant related to his illegal status. According to McLaughlin, Ojeda-Montoya repeatedly stabbed a co-worker with scissors and threw a trash can at his victim in August. When Ojeda was encountered, her young child was sitting on her lap, improperly restrained in the vehicle at the time.
During the arrest, Ojeda-Montoya refused to release the child to her husband, also an illegal alien according to DHS. McLaughlin said her illegal alien husband began faking a medical emergency, appearing to shake violently as if he was having a seizure, while his wife was being arrested.
The agitators gathered and began shouting obscenities at officers during the arrest, prompting ICE to request additional assistance from the Fitchburg Police Department. According to a DHS statement, the crowd also made death threats and anti-Semitic remarks toward ICE agents. According to DHS, the crowd shouted: “You probably support Israel too… you look like a Jew… I bet you’re a fucking Jew,” and “I’m going to remember those eyes… I’m going to find you… I’m going to come get you… I know you probably have kids… We’re going to kill you and your kids… I’m going to shoot you all.” »
In a press release issued shortly after, Fitchburg police defended their actions during the incident, stating: “The role of the Fitchburg Police Department in this type of situation is to maintain the peace, maintaining the peace involves ensuring that the public at large as well as federal law enforcement officers are safe.

At the end of the incident, the DHS Assistant Secretary for Public Affairs said that medical personnel summoned to help the woman’s illegal alien husband found no evidence of a legitimate medical emergency and that the man refused to receive medical care. The man and his grandson were released.
According to DHS, Ojeda-Montoya was transported to the Cumberland County Jail in Scarborough, Maine, and will remain in ICE custody pending deportation proceedings.
