Last night’s episode of SNL was Bowen Yang’s last as an actor. He announced his departure from the show on Instagram just a day before the show, after releasing a teaser featuring him, host Ariana Grande and musical guest Cher.

Yang’s final sketch featured him as a Delta One Lounge employee, pouring eggnog for flyers for a final shift.

“I’m going to miss everything about this place. The smell of it. Celebrities would come by. Last week, Josh O’Connor was here,” he said, referring to the actor and host from last week.

He gets a call from an elderly-looking Ariana Grande, who tells Yang she’s proud of him for everything he’s done (with eggnog, of course) over the years — even when the eggnog was rotten. He and Grande then sing a rendition of “Please Come Home for Christmas”, and he is eventually joined by Grande in the living room.

“I feel so lucky to have been able to work here,” Yang said, definitely not referring to the Delta One Lounge. “And I just wanted to enjoy it a little longer. Especially the people. I loved every single person that worked here because they did so much for me, especially my boss.”

But in the sketch, Yang was not referring to Lorne Michaels but to Cher, who appears as “Eggnog’s CEO at Delta.” All three end the song and skit with a tearful farewell to Yang.
