‘SNL’ brings back MacGruber, with an Epstein files twist

Saturday evening live brought back Will Forte’s longtime character MacGruber for its November 15 episode. But this time, the bomb-defusing action man is hiding some seriously fucked up secrets about his ties to Jeffrey Epstein’s files.

Each of the three pre-recorded films from November 15 MacGruber the shorts follow the same formula as previous episodes: MacGruber and his assistants Colton (host Glen Powell) and Tawnee (Chloe Fineman) are trapped in control rooms, trying to disarm a bomb that’s about to explode.

However, Colton is quick to drop his own bomb: he has an uncensored copy of the Epstein files. And based on MacGruber’s reaction – and subsequent file shredding – he certainly on the list. It’ll take more than a pencil sharpener and a square of foil to get him out of this mess.

THE MacGruber the shorts were just the tip of the iceberg of this very heavy Epstein SNL slice. The cold open saw Donald Trump (James Austin Johnson) react to the release of thousands of Epstein emails this week, and Weekend Update continued to mock Trump over his dealings with Epstein.
