Iran sends nuclear scientists into hiding after 12 day war
Scientists would no longer be authorized to teach or live in their family homes and are transferred in the capital or in the north of coastal cities.
After dozens of Iranian nuclear brains were killed during the June War with Israel, Tehran would have hidden surviving nuclear scientists, The telegraph Reported on Saturday, citing Iranian officials.
Scientists would no longer be authorized to teach or live in their family homes, instead of being transferred to the capital or in the coastal cities of the North with their families, said a senior Iranian official.
At least 15 of surviving scientists over a hundred named on a list by Israel would consider new career paths, fearing that new strikes can target them.
“Most of them no longer live in their homes – they are either moved to safe houses in Tehran or to the north,” said the Iranian official.
According to the report, he added “those who taught universities are replaced by people who have no connection with the nuclear program.”

The growing anxieties also occur while Tehran has executed one of his own nuclear scientists this week. Roozbeh Vadi was hung on Wednesday, accused of facilitating the assassination of his colleagues.
The future of Iranian nuclear developments
Ronen Salomon, Israeli intelligence and defense analyst, told Ronen Solomon The telegraph, “The remaining figures have worked on the adaptation of Shahab-3 missiles for nuclear warheads and are essential to Iran’s ability to deploy nuclear weapons.
“While eliminated scientists focused more on the design of the angarreille, the expertise in delivery systems makes those which remain targets equally strategic for Israel, because the strikes of Israel in June 2025 also targeted the infrastructure of ballistic missiles.”
Danny Citrinowicz, the former head of the Iranian strategic office in Israel Defense Intelligence, told the British newspaper: “They saw what happened to their colleagues, and as we learned from 2010 when we eliminated other scientists, that does not change their way of thinking according to their desire to support the regime.
“Those who remain will be at the forefront of any Iranian attempt to reach a nuclear bomb, so they will automatically become targets for Israel, as Israel has shown in the past. I do not doubt this. Any scientist who deals with the nuclear problem will be eliminated or will be threatened with elimination.”
