Sony shrinks PS5 Slim storage in the US, too
Sony now sells a revised model of the digital PS5 Slim in the United States which has less storage than the original version. The updated model with 825 GB of SSD internal storage instead of 1 TB has recently been sold in Europe, but now it is also available on the US PlayStation Direct website.
The revised console Digital Edition, which, according to Sony, is in the “CFI -2100 Model Group – Slim”, always starts at $ 499.99, even with the reduced storage space. YouTuber Austin Evans recently demolished one of the thin consoles PS5 updates in Europe, and in addition to less storage, Evans noticed that the dark part in the center and the upper side panels are now matt and have also noticed some adjustments to the console interns.
Earlier this year, Sony increased the price of all PS5 models in the United States by $ 50, citing “the difficult economic environment”.
