Good gaming peripherals can seriously change your setup, but high prices don’t make it easy to invest in these upgrades.
That’s why taking advantage of deals throughout the year is the way to go, and as of January 12, there’s a solid gaming monitor deal worth checking out. The 27-inch Asus ROG Strix XG27UCG is on sale at Amazon for $339, bringing its price down to $110 from its list price of $449. This 24% discount also marks the best price we’ve ever seen on this monitor.
CES 2026: Asus’ ROG Zephyrus Duo is finally a true dual-screen gaming laptop
The monitor has a 4K screen, with an excellent resolution of 3840 x 2160 pixels. Dual mode gives you access to a 160Hz refresh rate for 4K gaming or 320Hz at 1080p, making it a particularly good option for anyone who enjoys AAA games, as well as competitive gaming where a faster refresh rate is more important than a higher resolution. The response time isn’t the best we’ve seen on a gaming monitor, but decent for the 1ms price.
The display also has a 95% DCI-P3 color gamut – it won’t be the most vibrant display on the market, but it’s decent for the price. In terms of ports, this monitor is more limited with a DisplayPort 1.4, an HDMI port and a USB-C port offering 15 watts of power.

If you’re not quite ready to invest in a high-end gaming monitor that can run you over $1,000, the Asus ROG Strix has some drawbacks, but is ultimately a solid buy for under $350.
