Sporting chief: Only world’s worst agent can stop Viktor Gyökeres exit

The president of the Sports CP, Frederico Varandas, admitted that Viktor Gyökeres should leave the club this summer.

Varandas said that only the “worst world agent” could move away a distance from the Swedish international, although it has been optimistic about the requirements of sporting transfer fees, pointing to summer movements for Matheus Cunha and Martín Zubimendi as a reference that Manchester United and Arsenal must clear its signature.

ESPN previously reported that United and Arsenal were interested in Gyökeres, who scored 54 goals in 52 games in all competitions last season.

“If you ask me today, there is a strong possibility that Viktor Party,” Varandas told a Bola with the Portuguese press.

“In the past few weeks, we have kept an eye on the market, I saw a player like Zubimendi, who has six months less than Viktor, go to Arsenal for 65 million euros ($ 76 million).

“I saw two players sold in the Premier League – Matheus Cunha and Mbeumo – attackers who do not have the quality of Viktor, in my opinion. [They] were sold for around 75 million euros. We are talking about 26 -year -old players.

“So, taking into account the requirements we make in relation to the value of Viktor, I think he could leave, unless he has the worst agent in the world. What I find difficult to believe, because he is one of the best footballers in the world.”

Gyökeres is under contract with Sporting until June 2028 and has a liberation clause of 100 million euros.
