Spotify can now sort playlists by BPM and key

Spotify is launching a new feature that can make transitions between songs even smoother. Premium users can now automatically sort and reorder their playlists based on BPM (tempo) and key, allowing songs to flow more naturally.

If you are a Premium user, you can enable the feature by visiting a playlist and selecting Mixing > Editing > Smart Reorderingon which Spotify will analyze and sort songs with just one click. Simply save the change for it to take effect.

The new feature builds on the Custom Transitions feature released last year and the goal is to allow you to create more DJ-like listening experiences. According to Spotify, users have already streamed more than 220 hours of these mixed playlists.
