What is a screw worm?

Verse verses are the larvae of the fly Cochliomyia hominivorax, which puts up to 300 of them at the same time inside open wounds or tender parts, such as mouth, animals with hot blood. Once they hatch, the larvae fought through the living flesh while they consume it, causing extreme pain or, if they are not treated, even death. After three to seven days, the larvae fall to the ground and burst into the ground to develop, turning into flies. A female mate only once and only transports sperm to lay around 3,000 eggs in its lifespan up to 30 days.

How are vision infestations treated?

The best treatment is avoidance. Because flies are attracted to open wounds – even something tiny like a tick sting, according to the centers for Disease Control and Prevention – people should cover all injuries, especially when you sleep outside, working near cattle or traveling in infected areas. Although adult flies are not yet known in the United States, they are in southern Mexico.

If you suspect that you have been attacked or infected, see a doctor immediately. Worms can be visible in injuries. Each individual organization must be carefully extracted, which may require surgery. Currently, there are no drugs approved by the Food and Drug Administration to treat vis -à -vis infestations.

Kennedy, however, said that the FDA can accelerate approval processes for antiparasitic drugs to be used in animals with infestations from worms to the screw. Veterinarians can also use drugs that are approved for other uses to treat vis -à -vis infestations.
