A recall is underway for 1.5 million bottles of stain remover sold at major retailers nationwide, the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) announced Thursday. The products, sold under the Angry Orange brand, may contain bacteria, including Pseudomonas aeruginosa, found widely in soil and water. Healthy people are generally not affected by this pathogen, but those with weakened immune systems are at risk of serious infection if exposed to it.
The recall involves Angry Orange Enzyme Stain Removers in Fresh Clean and Orange Twist flavors. The products were sold in 24 oz, 32 oz and 1 gallon bottles, and some units were sold as a packet with a UV light that attaches to the spray bottle.

The recalled products were sold from March 2019 to December 2025 at Walmart, Target, The Home Depot, Meijer, Staples, TJ Maxx and other major retailers nationwide. They were also available online at Amazon.com, Walmart.com, Target.com, AngryOrange.com and Chewy.com. Approximately 43,700 bottles were sold in Canada.
If you have the recalled stain remover, stop using it immediately and contact the company for a refund. Consumers should take a photo of the product with “recalled” and their initials written on it in marker and email the image to productrecall@angryorange.com. Then throw it in the trash.
