Susie Wiles May Have Screwed Trump’s Revenge Quest on Letitia James

One email reportedly stated that at one point the FBI’s Washington field office “did not believe (and spoke out about)” [DOJ]), that we established probable cause for the search warrant for classified documents at Mar a Lago. Another email said the office believed a search would be “counterproductive,” suggesting “alternative, less intrusive and more likely resolution options” to recover the documents at the heart of the case.
It’s not surprising that the White House would want to highlight this article, as it makes it seem like the Biden administration was pushing for a raid over the objections of federal law enforcement. But the search at Mar-a-Lago, for which a federal judge signed an arrest warrant, ultimately undermines that argument.
Classified documents were found everywhere in the areaincluding in the ballroom, bathroom and shower, an office, Trump’s bedroom and a storage room, according to special prosecutor Jack Smith’s indictment. Agents allegedly found documents from seven government agencies, including the Central Intelligence Agency, the Department of Defense, the National Security Agency and the State Department.
