High schools are trying to be like college programs, so why not hire someone to do stats at a game and then print them off to distribute to the media, coaches and parents, like they do at college games?

Serop Jejeian is the founder and director of Gamebook Stats Inc. He started his business almost two years ago by offering his services for free. He shows up with his computer and his printer, takes care of all the statistics and above all, they are quite precise. Now the price varies from tournaments to single games for its services.

“We plan to use them a lot in the future,” Redondo Union men’s basketball coach Reggie Morris Jr. said.

Yes, it makes the media’s job easier without having to compile statistics themselves, while coaches are happy to receive immediate information on paper.

Mater Dei has had people helping it compile football and basketball statistics for years.

Every sportswriter would be excited to see Gamebook Stats Inc. enter the high school football arena as much as they provide basketball statistics. Sportswriters would surely pass around a hat for donations as a reward for someone else handling the more time-consuming requirement of covering a game.
