Switch 2 Overheating? Nintendo Just Posted a Warning You Shouldn’t Ignore
Nintendo published its switch 2 almost two months ago, and it sold nearly 6 million units, according to the company’s latest quarterly report. The new console has experienced some material problems, but Nintendo has confirmed that it has a little heating problem.
In an article of July 31 on its X support account, Nintendo advised users to avoid playing the original switch and switch 2 at high temperatures. The company claims that the exploitation of consoles in a hot environment will increase the temperature inside and could cause dysfunction.

In the United States, “5–35 ° C” would be around 41 to 55 ° F.
Nintendo of America did not immediately respond to a request for comments on the tweet.
Some owners of Switch 2 noted on Reddit the weeks of overheating after the launch of the console in June. When the console becomes too hot, a message appears by indicating that the system overheats, and it will immediately pass into sleep mode to cool it.
So far, we do not know what makes the console overheat. Some users of the Thread Reddit said it happened while they were playing the console in moored mode, that is to say when switch 2 generally displays the highest resolution. Other times, the owners said it occurred in portable mode.
In 2022, Nintendo confirmed that the original switch also tended to overheat. He then gave a message similar to the one that was published on X just days ago.
