The Amazon Echo Studio is now available to buy for $219.99

BUY NOW: Starting October 29, buy the new Amazon Echo Studio. This is Amazon’s most advanced smart speaker, now with Dolby Atmos.
On September 30, 2025, Amazon launched a new collection of Echo devices, designed for Alexa+. The new AI-powered voice assistant does more than play the music you ask it to. Alexa+ can now hold a conversation or plan a date. To keep pace with its innovative in-house technology, Amazon launched Echo Dot Max, Echo Show 8, Echo Show 11, and Echo Studio. The latter, the Echo Studio, is the brand’s best speaker to date, offering a larger design and Dolby Atmos.
The Echo Studio received its first update in six years – it previously debuted in 2019 and the 2025 model is quite different. As Mashable tech editor Timothy Bech Werth noted, the new Echo Studio looks a bit like the Death Star, with its circular orb design and flat control panel. The front panel has simple controls for volume and voice command mute. It is covered in a new 3D knitted material and has a 1.73-inch front-facing speaker.

The speaker includes spatial audio as well as Dolby Atmos. So while it does a spectacular job streaming music, the Echo Studio can also be used for your home theater, creating a true surround sound experience.
It will be Amazon’s largest screenless speaker, measuring 6.1 inches by 5.8 inches. It’s slightly larger than Amazon’s old flagship Echo, which appears to have been discontinued.
After a month-long pre-order period, Amazon Echo Studio is now available for purchase for $219.99, making it the second most expensive device in the Echo lineup.
