Why Can’t We Be Friends? Vance Hopes Musk Returns to Trump Orbit – RedState
They were apparently inseparable. They really seemed to love each other and appreciate the capacities of each.
Donald Trump and Tesla / SpaceX CEO Elon Musk were a dynamic duo, dedicated to making America again large – but then everything collapsed when Musk publicly and noisily distant from the president on the major bill and threatened to start a new party.
Vice-president JD Vance, however, is still a fan of Elon and hopes that in the future, the team can get back together. Right now, however, “it’s complicated,” he said in an interview on Sunday:
“My argument in Elon is … as … you are not going to be on the left, right? Even if you wanted to be, and he does not do it,” said Vance. “They will not come back to you. This ship sailed. And so, I really think it’s a mistake for him to break with the president.
“My hope is that at the time of mid-term, he returns in a way in the fold.”

Trump calls Musk “ wonderful guy ”, minimize the disagreement on OBBB
The vice-president joked about how things have become tense between the two parties, saying that Musk may not “take my call right now on anything”. But he has always kept hope that a rapprochement was on the horizon:
“I spoil,” said Vance. “I’m sure he would take my call, but obviously, the drama around him and the White House in the past two months. [even with] All his frustration … Elon was a very critical element of the team’s latest elections.
“And so, my hope is halfway through, things are a bit of return to normal. We will see. Strong the wood.”
He added that there can be differences on this subject or to this problem, but the global objective must remain essential: the victory of our country of the grip of progressives who have tried to destroy it:
“If you are patriotic, you do not try to stick your knife at the back of the president. You are not trying to betray the movement,” said Vance. “I don’t care about these little disagreements and minor problems. We have to win in a way with the whole movement together, and this is the attitude I try to take.”
In my opinion, it is in the best interest of the country for these two leaders to work together. Although Musk’s criticisms on Trump over the OBBB have become personal, the (impressive) president held his fire and did not hit in kind. Musk was an important voice on the campaign track and helped set the tone for the new administration with its first Doge leaders. He and the work of his team that discover waste and fraud in the federal government was an early sign that it was not Trump 1.0 – it was something different (and well improved).
We will see if Musk accepts Vance’s apparent peace offer. Trump and Musk working together would be much better for the Take Back America movement than to see them operate for crossed purposes. Shake hands and catch it, guys.
