Kentucky Republican Sen. Mitch McConnell, 83, has not been immune to the effects of aging and has had several public health scares, including “freezing” during speeches and suffering several falls. On Thursday, he suffered a serious spill in the Senate Russell’s basement. He was walking with the help of an assistant, but then decided he could do it on his own and apparently lost his balance.

Health scare: Mitch McConnell falls in the Senate

It’s the latest in a series of health problems for the 82-year-old, who had a strange “freezing” episode in August 2023 after appearing unaware of his whereabouts in July that year.
