Texas A&M men’s basketball signs elite 4-star center in the 2026 class

Although Bucky McMillan didn’t have the opportunity to go through a full recruiting cycle before being named Texas A&M’s head coach, he landed some of the nation’s most highly touted recruits for 2026.
The Aggies’ newest addition is consensus 4-star forward Josh Irving, who signed on Thursday. Ranked among the top 40 players in the country, Irving averaged 8.3 points, 7.9 rebounds and 2.4 blocks per game in his final AAU season. The 6-foot-11, 200-pounder from Pasadena, Calif., is athletic and physical on both ends of the court, making him a huge pickup for McMillan and company when building next year’s team.

Here is the official announcement from Texas A&M Basketball, as McMillan continues to build on an already impressive recruiting cycle:
After signing Iriving and 4-star Neiko Mundey, who is also a top 50 player in the upcoming recruiting cycle, Texas A&M is ranked No. 22 in the On3 Sports 2026 recruiting rankings. The duo will add size, strength and speed to the roster as McMillan continues to lay the foundation for success on the field in Bryan-College Station, Texas.
The regular signing period for the class of 2026 ends on April 15, which still gives the first-year head coach time to settle into his role leading the Aggies and begin building the program’s future moving forward.
