Texas House Votes on Redistricting Maps, With Final Moments of Drama – RedState

Wednesday, the efforts of the Democrats of the Texas Chamber to block the adoption of redistribution cards failed when the Chamber was finally able to hold the vote.

As we have pointed out, the Democrats of the Texas Chamber fled the state to break the quorum to prevent the adoption of redistribution cards. They were absent for more than two weeks, brandishing democracy, arresting the affairs of the people of Texas. But, in the end, most came back on Monday. They tried to claim victory, saying that they brought “awareness” to the issue.

But ultimately, the Democrats could not remember the inevitable – they were going to lose. Despite the final efforts of the Democrats to obstruct, with them trying to modify the bill several times, the Democrats fell on an overwhelming defeat, 88-52.

The bill is now going to the Senate of Texas. The vote is expected to be Thursday. He should pass. Then it would probably be signed by the Governor of Texas Greg Abbott by the end of the week.

The plans are believed to offer republicans potentially five new seats at the American house. This is what makes Democrats crazy. This is why California Governor Gavin Newsom is trying to respond with redistribution measures to help Democrats.

There was another moment of drama the day when the representative of the Democratic State of Texas Nicole Collier. Who had stayed in the room since Monday, tried to join a video call with the governor of California Gavin Newsom and other Democrats in the Capitol of the State while the Rediscuction Bill was debated. She had to get out of the call, saying they told her that it was a crime to be video calls from the floor or the bathroom.

Look at Senator Cory Booker (D-NJ) just lose your head saying: “It’s scandalous!” He said Collier had more “dignity” than President Donald Trump.

Booker is something else with anger attacks. Because the bathroom call is so worthy.

What a performative stupidity, but it is how much they blend after being defeated here. They are so upset that they have lost, and it’s glorious to see.
