Texas woman sues Marine, claiming he spiked her drink with abortion pills

A Texas woman is pursuing an American navy, alleging that he gave up on his drink with nearly a dozen abortion pills, killing their child to be born, after having pushed her repeated requests to “get rid of it”, according to an unjustified death trial filed on Monday before the Federal Court.

Liana Davis alleys that Christopher Cooprider has secretly dissolved at least 10 abortion pills in a cup of hot chocolate that he prepared for her on April 5, then left the house and stopped responding as she was bleeding abundantly, said the costume.

Cooprider, 34, refused to comment on Monday.

The trial, submitted to the American district court of the South District of Texas, contains several alleged text messages that the pair exchanged for weeks, from January 31, when Davis asked to cooprider her comment in case she is confirmed to be pregnant.

Cooprider said that he “would like to get rid of it”, show it the texts, saying that the two were “no in love” or together and that he would be “messed up to bring a child to the world without the two parents raising them”.

When Cooprider reiterated his desire that Davis “get rid of it” after her pregnancy test days later, she asked him to use a different expression.

“Whenever you say” get rid of it “, it’s like an electric shock,” she wrote, according to the trial. “I literally feel like I have the steepest hill of a roller coaster when I read this.”

The following text messages show that Cooprider said to Davis, without his approval, that he would order online abortion pills. The pills were purchased from Aid Access, an online service that sends abortion pills to the Americans abroad, according to the trial.

Aid Access, and Dr Rebecca Gomperts, a Dutch doctor who directs it, are also listed as defendants in the trial. They did not immediately return to requests for comments.

During the coming weeks, Cooprider could not convince Davis to have an abortion and text messages have become more controversial.

On March 6, Cooprider called the baby “thing” and blamed Davis for his “psycho mentality” which, according to him, caused his continuous divorce. The trial indicates that Cooprider also threatened to testify against Davis in its divorce procedure and submitted to the custody of its three children.

At the end of March, Cooprider sent a text to what he wanted to “abandon this monstrosity of a situation” and said that he felt “trapped” by the situation.

But on April 2, Cooprider seemed to change your tone in text messages in Davis. He proposed to make them “a relaxing warm tea” in what they could call an “evening of confidence construction”, according to screenshots shared in the trial.

Davis, who was eight weeks pregnant, accepted. When the two met at the residence of Davis Corpus Christi on the night of April 5, Cooprider gave him a cup of hot chocolate shortly before midnight, according to the trial. In the 30 minutes after drinking it, said the costume, Davis began to hemorch and cramp.

Davis knew that she had to go to the emergency room, but she knew that she could not leave her three children who were sleeping upstairs, said the costume. They proposed a plan to cooprider to recover the mother of Davis, who lived nearby, so that she could look at the children while Coprider took Davis to the hospital.

But once Coprider has left the house, it has become inaccessible, according to the trial.

“I spring from blood. Please hurry up, ”sent him a text at 12:30 p.m.

Davis’ mother did a Uber tour with her daughter around 1 a.m. at that time, Cooprider apologized and said he had to take a flight the next day, said the costume.

A neighbor led Davis to the hospital, where her unborn baby, whom she had named Joy, did not survive.

Back home, Davis said he found the open box of abortion pills and a bottle of pills, which she turned to the police of Corpus Christi, according to the trial. The costume claims that cooprider mixed 10 misoprostol pills in hot chocolate.

The Corpus Police Department Christi said there was no active investigation involving Cooprider.

The Marine Corps did not immediately respond to a request for comments.
