RFK Jr. Calls Out CDC’s ‘Disastrous’ Failures, Defends Cleaning House In Heated Hearing

Washington – The Secretary of Health and Social Services, Robert F. Kennedy Jr., challenged the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) file on the COVID-19 pandemic and underlined the precipitous increase in chronic diseases in the United States while he defended his reshuffle of the health agency at a hearing in the Senate on Thursday.

“These changes were absolutely necessary to restore the role of the CDC as public health of gold standards in the world with a central mission to protect Americans from infectious diseases,” Kennedy said. “The CDC has failed this miserably responsibility during the cocvid when its disastrous and insensitive policies destroyed small businesses, violated civil freedoms, closed our schools and caused generational damage by doing so, masked infants without science and increased economic inequality.”

The combative hearing follows Kennedy’s confrontation with the former CDC director Susan Monarez last week. Kennedy spoke of Monarez of the post on August 25, less than a month after his mandate, on a dispute concerning his overhaul of the committee which advises the CDC on vaccine times.
