Harvard-Westlake rises to top in Southern Section Division 1 tennis

The Harvard-Westlake men’s tennis team accomplished something Friday that few have done: topple University of Irvine.
The Wolverines ended the University’s four-year championship tennis run with a 10-8 victory at the Southern Section Division 1 championships. The university is a 16-time champion.
Aiden Zadeh scored an important singles victory. Chase Klugo and Aaron Chung swept their doubles competition. And Gideon Ames won the deciding set.
At a school that excels in many different sports, the Wolverines have risen to the top. The season continues with regional and state competitions.
