Boox is launching a new generation of Go e-readers and e-ink tablets. The Boox Go 10.3-inch e-ink tablet, which resembles the Kindle Scribe, is in its second generation and is now available in two models: the standard Go 10.3 and the Go 10.3 Lumi. The latter features two-tone front lighting, designed for reading in low light conditions.

The previous generation of Boox Go 10.3 had Android 12, but Generation II upgrades to Android 15. With access to the Google Play Store, you get access to millions of apps, including all the reading essentials: Libby, The Kindle Store, and Kobo eBooks. The tablet supports 26 file formats, including PDF, EPUB, MOBI, DOCX, MP3, etc. It even comes with speakers for audiobook listeners. It comes with a whopping 64GB of storage, which is four times the amount of storage you can find in most e-readers.

The Boox Go 10.3 measures 4.6 millimeters thick and 12.7 ounces, while the Lumi is only slightly larger, measuring 4.8 millimeters and 12.8 ounces to support the additional front lighting. Both models have a resolution of 300 ppi, the same as you’ll find in the Kindle Scribe. Boox Go e-ink tablets come with the Boox Magnetic InkSense Plus stylus and a slim magnetic case, so they feel like a digital laptop.

The Boox Go 10.3 (Gen II) costs $419.99 while the Boox Go 10.3 Lumi (Gen II) costs $449.99. Since March 17, both models are available for purchase at Boox and Amazon.

Having recently tested and enjoyed the new generation Kindle Scribe, we can’t wait to put it up against the new Boox Go to see which is the best e-ink reader and tablet.
