Socialist Mayoral Candidate Beloved By Democrats Admits He Should Apologize To NYPD, Doesn’t Apologize
The Democratic candidate of the New York town hall, Zohran Mamdani, knows that he should apologize. He just doesn’t seem to want to do it.
The New York Times (NYT) asked Mamdani on September 11, if he estimated that he “apologized to the police” for a tweet in 2020 calling the New York Police Service (NYPD) “Racist, Anti-Queer and a major threat to public security”. Mamdani finally accepts that an excuse is justified. First of all, he gets used to, according to a transcription published by the interview published on Wednesday.
Honesty and responsibility are important. The same goes for apologies. But @Andrewcuomo is incapable of this.

“Yes,” admitted Mamdani.
Mamdani has told Times for almost two weeks that he should apologize. Lay on, tock.
Mamdani has received enthusiastic approvals from the independent senator from Vermont Bernie Sanders, the Massachusetts Democratic Senator Elizabeth Warren and the Democrat representative of New York Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez. Mamdani is expected to win the mayor’s race, according to a NYT / SIENA survey of September 9.
The NYT includes Mamdani’s response concerning NYPD in an article on Wednesday, “10 (more) questions with Zohran Mamdani.” They do not refer to apology presented at that time. Mamdani’s X profile, which is frequently updated, does not have a brand of excuses either.
Maybe he’s just consistent.
During the Astoria Assembly race in the 2020s, Mamdani castigated his opponent, Aravella Simotas, to apologize.
