The Texans are debuting their new alternate uniforms named “Battle Red,” which feature a primarily red helmet, jersey, and pants. The uniforms are the latest in Houston’s rebranding this season, as the Texans changed their uniforms for the first time since the organization’s inception in 2002.

Houston had an all-red uniform option with its previous set, but this version will be updated to match the team’s new design.

This jersey is one of Houston’s four options in their new set, and it will be the last uniform the Texans debut this year. Besides their primary blue uniform and primary white uniform, Houston already debuted an alternate blue uniform in Week 5 against the Bills.

Texans ‘Battle Red’ Jerseys, Explained

The biggest difference between the red uniform and others in Texans history is the helmet, as this red helmet features a different logo than the usual Texans logo. The bullhorn on the helmet matches the bullhorn on the shoulder pads to give a different look from the main uniform logo.

“Our Battle Red uniform now features a bullhorn shape that emerges from the shoulder tape and matches the bullhorn on our all-new Battle Red helmet,” the Texans said on their website. “It’s bold, with a candy red helmet, but it also ties into our classic bullhead logo.”

The rest of the red uniform is an updated version of the previous red uniform. This candy red uniform will provide a striking contrast to the Texans’ typical dark blue and white primary ensemble.
