Trump Reveals Role God Had in Saving Him on Anniversary of Butler Assassination Attempt – RedState

President Donald Trump thought about the birthday of a year of his quasi-assassination during a butler rally in Pennsylvania, saying that “God alone” spared his life that day.
Trump published a press release Sunday evening by recalling the tragedy last July.
The president was the target during the butler campaign rally where he was injured by bullet. The assassin’s ball would hit Trump’s ear, leaving him bloodied.
Corey Comperatore, head of the retired volunteer firefighters, was killed in the assassination attempt when he protected his wife and daughter, and two other men were seriously injured.
Trump praised Comperatore as a “dedicated husband and father” in the press release, then thinks a little about his own mortality, declaring that a higher had saved him for a higher purpose.
“He remains my firm conviction that God alone saved me that day for a just purpose: to restore our beloved republic to greatness and to save our nation from those who seek his ruin,” said the press release.

President Trump extended reflections in deeply reflective comments while addressing Journalists from Joint Base Andrews. It seems clear that the president considers himself a ship to help direct the only true nation “under God”.
A servant of the one to make America great once again.
“God was protecting me,” he said. “Perhaps because God wanted to see our country doing better, or doing very well, making America great again. But God was protecting me.”
“The more you think about it, the more you see it.”
Trump continued by suggesting that he does not like to think of the assassination attempt, noting that “it is a bit of a dangerous profession, being president”.
This is not the first time that President Trump has said his conviction that God has saved him that fateful day from Butler.
“Honestly, it’s a mir (miracle)-it changed, it changed something in me,” he said in a smulling tone during the national prayer breakfast in February. “I feel even stronger.”
“I believed in God, but I feel-I feel much more strongly. Something happened,” he added when the crowd gave him an exciting ovation.

The attempted assassination in Butler has proven to be one of the most emblematic moments in the history of this nation. It is not an occurrence.
While stories of heroism and challenge in the face of threats against his life disperse the historic landscape of America, very few have been observed in real time as a year ago today.
The assassin’s ball struck Trump’s ear, coming a few centimeters to remove it and most likely plunge a deeply divided nation into civil conflict.
The president who will soon be married, the blood flowing on the side of his face and demanded that the American people continue to fight for the nation they love so much.
This has led to an image that will be engraved in the collective memory of this nation for the decades to come.
A turn of the head and history could have been radically different
I don’t know what’s going on in the chronology where a disturbed murder splashes Trump’s brain on live television, I don’t want to know
Providence spared this man and our country for a reason

Barely a few months ago, a series of haunting images of the assassination attempt led to the award of a photographer from the New York Times.
Even the Pulitzer card could not ignore the drama of the moment.
“When the agents started to evacuate the wounded Trump out of the stage, he briefly stopped them and insisted to make a gesture towards the crowd of supporters,” reads the Pulitzer Prize site. “Raising his fist, he shouted with challenge:” Fight! Fight! Fight! “”
“It was a moment of instinct on which would later be capitalized by his campaign and embraced by his supporters.”
In reality, it was a moment that saved the nation.
