The rents of the sky. Regulation on crushing. Narrowing of freedoms. As everyday Americans are fighting to stay afloat, the city governments led by Democrats are quietly buying commercial real estate – with your money.
They call it “revitalization”.
But this is not the case. It is a coordinated earth socket. Simple and simple.
Washington, DC: the real estate plan of the left
It is not a conspiracy theory. It happens.
In March 2020, the city controlled by Democrat de Washington, DC, published a request for proposals for the search for existing buildings and land adapted to the redevelopment in housing. Out of 15 submissions, the city has chosen one: an old four -story gym and 24,600 square feet. Price label? $ 11 million. All paid with acquisition funds focused on rubber by Mayor Muriel Bowser.
Then, in June 2025, the mayor Bowser pushed the emergency legislation – unanimously approved by the DC Council – to acquire six commercial properties. Affordable accommodation and revitalization are the scenarios. But don’t be fooled. It is not a question of resolving a shortage of housing or of removing the burn.
This is control: control the land, control the markets, control who benefits and who lets himself be left.
When the government becomes a real estate investor, freedom loses ground – literally. The owners, companies and taxpayers are in a hurry, replaced by politically favored interests.
We cannot afford to leave the same people who ruined our cities to become their owners too.
If we do not act, the cities controlled by the Democrats of California will follow the DC plan. This means that we need real railings like:
- Compulsory public opinion and audiences before any city buys land
- Competitive offer for all property acquisitions
- Strict limits on emergency legislation used for real estate transactions
- Complete transparency, independent audits and a permanent ban on cherished transactions
The left does not use bulldozers. They use bureaucracy.
