Kid Rock Turning Point USA halftime show praised amid Bad Bunny criticism

Turning Point USA’s “All-American” Super Bowl halftime show on Sunday was met with rave reviews.

The show, featuring Kid Rock, Brantley Gilbert, Lee Brice and Gabby Barrett, was released on YouTube at the same time as the Super Bowl halftime show with Bad Bunny was taking place.

Many have praised the alternative show, with millions of viewers – with figures reaching up to 5 million viewers tuning in to the livestream on YouTube.

However, some called it “disappointing”, while others criticized Kid Rock’s vocal ability.

Turning Point USA’s “All-American Halftime Show” also took a moment to pay tribute to founder Charlie Kirk.

The tribute took place as Kid Rock finished a song and read, “Remembering Charlie Kirk,” alongside photos of Charlie’s wife, Erika, and their children.

Kacey Musgraves slammed Kid Rock as she turned to X to share her thoughts.

The country singer wrote of Bad Bunny’s Halftime show: “Well. It made me feel more proudly American than anything Kid Rock ever did.”

However, Jake Paul went to X two hours before the halftime show to criticize Bad Bunny.

Paul, who lives in Puerto Rico, denounced the Puerto Rican singer’s halftime show and told fans they “have the power” to use their voices.

“Deliberately turning off the halftime show. Let’s come together and show big business that they can’t do whatever they want without consequences (which equates to an audience for them),” Paul wrote to X.

Adding: “You are their advantage. Realize you have the power. Turn off that half.”

Paul called Bad Bunny a “fake American citizen who publicly hates America.”

“I can’t support that,” Paul said.

One person simply wrote on X: “The TPUSA halftime show was much better. Thanks to all the artists who supported this great event.”

Another called the alternative show “awesome”, while another X user said the artists were “killing it”.

“Really good, patriotic and very moving,” read one tweet about the show.

They added: “I didn’t know if I would like it, but I’m glad I listened, all the musicians were amazing.”

Another wrote: “I heard the Bad Bunny show was bullshit, not surprising. »

However, some have criticized the show Turning Point, questioning Kid Rock’s vocal skills.

“Anyone who thinks Kid Rock can still sing is just tone deaf. Both of them were gnashing their teeth, but to say the TPUSA halftime show was better is just absurd,” one person wrote on X.

Someone else criticized Turning Point USA: “Bad Bunny’s NFL halftime show will always be better than the trashiest halftime show on the turn.”
