DNC’s Botched Israel Vote Proves Democrat Party Has the Moral Backbone of a Chocolate Eclair – RedState

For weeks, some in the left media have excited an imminent confrontation on Israel at the summer meeting of the National Democratic Committee which is held this week in Minneapolis, Minnesota. There were two dual-on-one duel resolutions; One involved a two -state solution and arms sales, while the other called for an arms embargo and a suspension of military aid.
That was it! The great moment when Democrats were finally going to decide if they will slow down with anti -Semites through university campuses – who, let’s face it, are the face of the Democratic Party today – or with those who pay the lips at least to continue with the sales of arms in Israel in order to eventually arrive at a solution to two states.
Here is how a point of sale has supervised the fight:
But the twin resolutions of Gaza have substantial differences. We ask for a cease-fire and a hostage return held by Hamas; The other requests the party to engage in the “suspension of military aid in Israel” and its leaders elected to support the establishment of a Palestinian state.
This resolution would be a “gift to the Republicans” and “would embrace the opponents of Israel,” said the democratic majority for Israeli President Brian Romick.
Well, Tuesday was the day of the vote, and they completely botched it. It’s a bit crazy what happened.
First, the DNC resolutions committee rejected the measure calling for suspending arms sales to Israel. Okay, this could therefore indicate that enough party members still support Israel, which means that the second resolution had a good chance of being approved. We will never know, because the president of the DNC, Ken Martin, the author of the pro-Israeli resolution, has withdrawn consideration, claiming that the party must “continue to work”.

In the words of my husband’s favorite group: if you choose not to decide, you have always made a choice. The DNC has made a choice, and it is quite obvious: do not check the monsters with green hair and racist patches which are the basis of our party. We do not like them when they are crazy (and they are always crazy, especially with regard to Israel).
True to the form, Allison Minnerly, the member of the Florida DNC who is the author of the failed measure, was not satisfied and targeted his anger in Martin.
“I think there could have been a more intentional conversation earlier,” said Minnerly. “I think that its decision to draw its resolution now could reflect, perhaps, certain inner thoughts and fears that even the Democratic Party of the establishment, here at the DNC, will not be aligned on the basis and tries to avoid this conversation because it has already created a problem with the party.”
Sophia Danenberg, a member of the Washington state DNC, offered him a point of view on the party without being held more firmly against Israel: “I fear that we lose our future as a Democratic Party is not courageous on this issue.”
It is a race down among the so-called leaders of the Democratic Party, right? It is difficult to choose who is the weakest among the lot. On the one hand, there is Ken Martin, who oversees a hemorrhage of the party both voters and in cash. On the other hand, there is Hakeem Jeffries, the successor selected by the hand of Nancy Pelosi who is busy avoiding the subject of Zohran Mamdani.

By the way, I did not invent the description of the “moral dorsal of a flash of chocolate”, but I love it very much and I often use it to describe the most unhealthy among us, generally the Democrats, the Bulwarkians and the founders of the Lincoln project. The saying is in fact attributed to Teddy Roosevelt, who would have used to describe William McKinley, but I obtained it from an actor. And this is an appropriate description of the failure of the DNC to support the ally of America.
