Bridge mix recalled because of undeclared allergens
We R Nuts of Port Washington, NY, is recalling 11-ounce containers of Uncle Giuseppe brand milk chocolate mix because they may contain undeclared milk, soy and cashews.
People who are allergic or sensitive to milk, soy, and cashews are at risk of a serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume these products.
The deck mix was distributed in New York and New Jersey through Uncle Giuseppes retail stores.
The recalled products are packaged in 11-ounce, rectangular, clear, tamper-resistant plastic containers. The sell-by dates, located in the upper left corner of the label, are September 4 through November 6. All packages state that they were distributed by We R Nuts at the bottom of the label.
The recall was initiated after a discrepancy in the label’s ingredient list was discovered during an inspection of the facility’s products. Once We R Nuts management was informed of the missing allergens on our ingredient label, we initiated a formal recall.
No injuries or illnesses have been reported from this recall to date.
