The new trailer for The Super Mario Galaxy Movie shows Yoshi absolutely devouring a Magikoopa
The long wait for Super Mario Galaxy movie is almost finished, like the film. To keep the hype train going, Illumination and Universal Pictures launched a film. It’s exactly 30 seconds long, so you’ll probably see it again on TV this Sunday during the Super Bowl.
It features some nifty imagery we’ve never seen before, including a hungry Yoshi absolutely devouring a Magikoopa. There are also shots highlighting the star guns from the Super Mario Galaxy games and a shot showing Rosalina bodying Bowser Jr.
There appears to be a plot where Princess Peach and Toad head to some sort of sci-fi megacity, which should be fun. There’s an Octoomba living there, another homage to the OG Wii game.
As previously reported, the highly anticipated sequel arrives on April 1. The Super Mario Bros. movie. grossing nearly $1.4 billion and becoming one of the most successful animated films ever made. We found the original to be fun, but safe.
