The Nobel Prize in chemistry will be announced Wednesday

The Royal Academy of Sciences of Sweden awards the Nobel Prize in chemistry. The winner (s) will be appointed on Wednesday. Between 1901 and 2024, 116 chemistry prices were awarded to 195 people. Last year’s prize was awarded to David Baker, a biochemist at Washington University in Seattle, as well as Hassabis and John Jumper, computer scientist at Google Deepmind. The announcements of 2025 began with the price of medicine honoring three scientists for their discoveries on the immune system, and the price of physics honoring three researchers for their work on the quantum tunnel effect. This year’s literature award will be announced on Thursday. The Nobel Peace Prize will be announced on Friday and the economy prize on Monday.
