AAG Dhillon Squashes Gavin Newsom When He Throws Fit Over Plans for DOJ Election Monitoring – RedState

As we reported, the Justice Department is sending election observers to California and New Jersey at the request of state Republican parties for the 2025 off-year elections.
The DOJ announced Friday that it plans to monitor voting sites in Passaic County, New Jersey, and five counties in southern and central California: Los Angeles, Orange, Kern, Riverside and Fresno. The goal, according to the DOJ, is “to ensure transparency, ballot security, and compliance with federal law.”
“Election transparency translates to trust in the electoral process, and this Department of Justice is committed to the highest standards of election integrity,” Attorney General Pamela Bondi said in a statement to The Associated Press.
The CA GOP told the DOJ in its letter that it had received reports of irregularities in the recent election.

But guess who wasn’t happy with this measure aimed at promoting transparency? Slippery California Governor Gavin Newsom.
The Department of Justice, Donald Trump’s puppet, has no business getting involved in next month’s elections.
Sending the federal government into California polling places is a deliberate attempt to scare voters and undermine the fairness of the election.

The Justice Department, Donald Trump’s puppet, has nothing to do with next month’s elections. Sending the federal government into California polling places is a deliberate attempt to scare voters and undermine the fairness of the election. We will not back down. Newsom says election monitoring was a “bridge too far” and, in one way or another, voter “suppression.” How? The United States. even sends election observers to other countries to secure elections. What is Gavin afraid of? Why would election observers scare voters? What does he think observers will discover? If they’re not doing anything wrong, why is he falling apart?
Plus, those ridiculous hand movements are so distracting. Frankly, they are worse than those of Senate Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-NY).
In an excellent article, Deputy Attorney General Harmeet Dhillon squashed Newsom’s narrative, reminding him that election observers in this country are not new.
Lol, calm down my brother. THE @TheJusticeDept under Democratic administrations, has sent federal election observers for decades, and not once have we heard that it was voter intimidation from states like California. Do you really want to go there? Isn’t transparency a good thing? https://t.co/SsyR8xRu9q

Dhillon also had a little fun with the hand movements.
I like moving my hands as much as the next person; but there is usually a hat or sweater at the end. What is going on here….

She does a lot of knitting. That’s what I think she’s referring to here.
But Newsom looks like he’s about to break into some dance moves.
You would think he looked very nervous in this video.
