There was a time when subscribing to a streaming service was a way to save money on a cable or satellite subscription. While this might once have been true, it seems like there’s a new streaming service every few months. Along with new services, existing streaming services continue to raise their prices, and it’s now often more expensive to pay for all of these streaming platforms than an old-fashioned cable service.

It may also cause problems accessing the shows you want to watch, like ongoing contractual dispute between YouTube TV and Disney. This left subscribers scrambling to find a place where watch ESPN and ABC — even though it should be part of their YouTube TV subscription.

New data from market research firm Park Associates estimates that the average streaming subscriber pays $109 per month for six services.

It seems that every month also brings new price increases for streaming: in October, Disney Plus and Hulu have increased their prices And HBO Max increased the cost of all his plans. Rather than keeping all of your streaming services and blowing your budget, consider canceling the ones you don’t watch regularly.

Whether you’re considering deleting all your streaming services and setting up a Plex server or you just want to cancel a specific service, we have the information you need. Read on to find out all the details on how to cancel your subscriptions to the biggest streaming providers.

First, find and manage your subscriptions

The first step in determining which streaming services to choose Cancel remembers exactly what services you pay for. After all, if you borrow your roommate’s Netflix subscription, you won’t have to worry about the bill at the end of the month.

Decluttering your digital life by canceling subscriptions you no longer need isn’t always easy, and some services have more hoops to jump through than others. Third-party software from platforms such as Gmail can make things a little easier. Overall, you’ll need to find where you signed up for a streaming subscription to cancel it properly. This could mean your cable provider, Amazon, or even your Apple device. For services like Amazon, Roku, or Apple, simply go to the settings menu and check your subscriptions and you should be able to find (and cancel) the subscription you don’t want to keep.

Once you’ve determined which subscriptions are no longer worth it, it’s time to cancel the ones you’re ready to leave behind.
