iOS 26: Friends Can’t Decide What to Eat? Here’s How to Create a Poll in Messages
Apple has published the second public beta version of iOS 26 on August 7, and the beta version brings a new liquid glass design, call screening and more features to iPhones of developers and beta testers. He also introduced a multitude of new features to messages. One of the most useful features is the possibility of creating a survey in the messaging application.
Group cats can be chaotic, and sometimes has the impression that only a few people speak. The creation of a survey in a group cat is a good way to let everyone express their opinion on a given action or decision, like where to dine. In this way, all cat members can have their say, rather than the noisiest voices.
Here’s how to create a survey in messages and what you need to know about functionality.
Remember, Apple is still in beta test iOS 26. If you want to try the beta version, I recommend downloading it to a secondary device.
It is also possible that Apple can adjust certain features currently in the iOS 26 Betas, including its sounding functionality in messages, before the stable version of iOS 26 is published this fall.
How to create a survey in messages
1 and 1 Open the messages and use a cat.

Once you have completed your choices, you can type a message to send with your survey to provide additional information on sending the group’s survey, and people will be able to vote on their choice.
What should you know about the surveys in messages
The recipients can add options to the surveys – if someone creates a survey in messages and you do not see an option you want to consider, you can add it to the survey. Faucet Add the choice Under the survey, and you can add another option or two, as long as there is space for them. Remember that you can only have 12 options in a survey.
Voting in a survey is easy. Just press your choice and this option will be lit. However, you can vote for as many choices as you wish, but you can only vote by option. So it’s a bit like an investigation that says: “Check everything that applies.” This means that it is possible for a survey to have more votes than people in the cat. There does not seem to be a way to limit the number of votes that a person can express otherwise.
When an option receives a vote, this option will increase compared to other options such as a bar graph. In this way, you can easily say at a glance what choice wins.
Who vote for what choice is not hidden either. When you vote for an option, your Apple ID image will appear next to this option. Anyone in the cat can also press a survey for a long time and press the option Survey details To see who voted for what option and who has not yet voted. This could give you a chance to remind someone to vote in case they forgot or distracted.
