SpaceX rocket being tested in Texas explodes, but no injuries reported

A SpaceX rocket tested in Texas exploded Wednesday evening, sending a ball of dramatic fire in the sky.

The company said that the starship “has experienced a major anomaly” around 11 pm while on the test stand preparing for the tenth flight test at Starbase, the SpaceX launch site at the South Treeh of Texas.

“A clear safety area around the site has been maintained throughout the operation and all the staff is safe and taken into account,” SpaceX said in a press release on the social platform X.

Spacex of the CEO Elon Musk said that there was no danger for neighboring communities. He asked people not to try to approach the site.

The company said that it was working with local officials to respond to the explosion.
