Common beetles equipped with microchip backpacks could one day be used to help search and save the localization teams in survivors in a few hours instead of the days following disasters such as the construction and collapses of mines. Dr. Thang Vo-Doan of Queensland University and Research Assistant Lachlan Fitzgerald have shown that they can remotely guide the Beetles Darkling (Zophobas Morio) equipped with packs via video game controllers.

This is our last work on a six DOF teleoperation for omnidirectional air robots, which shows an intuitive teleoperation system for an advanced air robot. This work was presented at the IEEE / RSJ international conference on the IEEE / RSJ (IROS 2025) robots and intelligent systems.

The soft robot arms use mild materials and structures to imitate the passive compliance of the organic arms which fold and extend. Here, we show how to rely on structuring structures instead of the properties of inherent materials allows gentle robotic arms to remain in conformity while continuously transmitting the couple to their environment. We demonstrate a gentle robotic arm made from a pair of mechanical metamaterials which act like joints at constant speed compliant.

[ MIT News ]Armstrong Dex is a double -arm hydraulic robot on a human scale under development at the Korea Atomic Energy Research Institute (Kaeri) for applications for disasters. Designed with dimensions similar to an adult human, it combines human equivalent scope and dexterity with the production of strength that goes beyond human physical capacities, which allows it to perform extreme heavy tasks in dangerous environments.

[ Korea Atomic Energy Research Institute ]This is a demonstration of rotation of objects in hand with the hand of Torobo. Torobo’s hand is modeled in simulation and a control policy is formed in several hours using large -scale parallel learning in Isaac Sim. The policy formed can be carried out without any additional training both in a different simulator (MUJOCO) and on the real hand of Torobo.

[ Tokyo Robotics ]Since 2005, Ekso Bionics has developed and manufactured Bionic exoskeleton devices that can be attached as laptop robots to improve the strength, mobility and endurance of soldiers, patients and workers. These robots have a variety of applications in the medical, military, industrial and consumption markets, helping patients in rehabilitation to walk again and workers preserve their strength.
