Iron Age dental plaque reveals Scythians consumed milk from horses and ruminants

Researchers have deciphered the diet of a nomadic people important in the history of Eastern Europe. By analyzing dental calculus, they provided the first direct evidence that the Scythian diet included milk from various ruminants and horses.
