Oneisall Wifi WiFi Automatic Cat Feeder for $ 60: I had great hopes for this wireless feeder which has a rechargeable battery with a lifespan of 100 days and an integrated application, but it is simply too unreliable. Thanks to the application, you can program up to 10 daily meals (in 1 to 12 portions each), monitor the food habits of pets and personalize meal calls. Unlike other applications, you are unable to choose the size of the portions, but you should rather multiply the number of portions. The application gave me constant problems and often disconnected from the feeder and could not reconnect to WiFi. Fortunately, I was able to schedule meals via the screen and the buttons, but it would have been much more pleasant if the application had worked reliably.

Catit Pixi Smart 6 Meal Feaux for $ 103: Like others on this list, the Catit Pixi Wet and Dry feeder uses ice packs to keep the damp food fresh and discovers the meals below in six compartments in a rotary schedule. The calendar can be programmed via the application or modified on the body of the feeder. At this price, the application should not be so limited and glitch. The calendar is available in military time only, and the application is extremely limited – you can only define the meal schedule on the same day, and when I wanted to do only two to three meals a day spread over two days, I had to reprogram meals for each new day. The feeder is not cold enough to spread meals and wet foods were not at a safe food temperature. At this price, just offer Petlibro’s polar wet eater for a few more dollars.
Catit Pixi Smart Cat Feeder for $ 140: Kibble is stored in the body of this dry feeder, but it does not have a window to visually check the food levels. The calendar to plan meals shows only one week at a time, and although it should repeat itself daily depending on the schedule, I found that certain days, there would be no schedule despite a calendar. The Pixi do not tell you the amount of food distributed either; He simply refers it as a “part” – I measured manually and I noticed that the part was less than a tablespoon of kibble. After having used it continuously for more than a month, I found that it was extremely glitch and almost never glued reliably to the scheduled calendar, sometimes completely jumping meals. This feeder is potentially dangerous, and I would warn the parents of pets against counting on it.
Close Pet C500 for $ 75: This moist and automatic dry feeder can plan up to four pre-portioned meals (and a given meal manually) which are open to a timer system using three AA batteries (sold separately). The user prepresses the four times they want the bowls, who have ice packs below, turn. The bowls are quite deep and narrow and are not super easy to reach for cats, which could cause tiredness of mustaches. And although there are two relatively large ice packs, when I checked the feeder after a night’s sleep, the packs were not very cold. It can be OK for kibbles, but wet food has been kept at dangerous temperatures, and my cats could not reach all the food.
Why use an automatic feeder?
Automatic feeders are ideal for animal owners who wish to help manage the weight of their pets and the eating habits of their animals. In addition, they allow much more control and precision for owners to learn exactly how much their cat eats and when. Because cats are naturally more nocturnal, many are boring to wake you up in the early hours of food, and these allow you to set up a schedule that corresponds more to their schedule without bothering yours.
Of course, it is never recommended to leave pet alone for long periods, but these automatic feeders give more peace of mind and are much healthier for your pet than leaving a huge amount of food for free assault while you are absent for the night. In other words, it is an easier way to nourish and monitor your cat’s health with less work for you, humans.
How long can I leave my cat alone?
Although cats are generally considered to be less high maintenance than dogs, it is still not good to leave your cat for prolonged periods. In disastrous circumstances, you can leave a quiet cat for 24 to 48 hours with programmed feedings and a clean source of water, but it is not ideal, especially for cats with health problems, younger kittens than a year or very old cats. Although these feeders are automatic and meals can be scheduled in advance and over several days, our pets still need their human friends to enrich, take care and well love.
