Say what you I’ll talk about Beats fans, but at least they know what they like. These headphones and earphones are instantly recognizable by their sleek style and bass-heavy sound profile. If that sounds like your speed, the Beats Studio Pro are currently priced at just $150 on Amazon, depending on your color preferences. I spotted them at the lower price in matte white, sand gray, and dune, with a slightly higher price of $170 for the remaining colors, although your availability may vary.

While the Studio Pro doesn’t have some of the Apple-exclusive features you get with AirPods, for example, the upside is that they’re much friendlier with Android devices. Both platforms have access to one-touch pairing and the helpful Beats app, while iPhone owners also get the benefits of Hey Siri and Find My Device. Other features are a bit of a mixed bag, with decent battery life of up to 24 hours with ANC on, or 40 hours with ANC off, but no auto-pause when you remove them, nor multi-point pairing beyond Google’s Chromebook and Android option.

Like most Beats headphones, the sound profile is decidedly bass-focused, but Apple’s ownership has tempered that trend in recent years. As a result, this generation is more balanced than previous eras, with our reviewer Ryan Waniata complimenting the expansive soundstage and precise detail. Unfortunately, most Beats headphones don’t have an EQ, and the Studio Pros are no different. For better or worse, you’re stuck with how they come out of the box. These at least support high-resolution audio, up to 24-bit/48kHz, but only in wired USB-C mode.

For Beats enthusiasts looking for an upgrade or second headphone for the gym, these are a solid option at a heavily discounted price. They lack some of the richer, more advanced features of more expensive headsets, but it may be the right compromise for some people who just want something simple that works every time.
