Before getting there, let’s take a break. It’s a good time to take a look at who won and lost in this first round in 2025. There was not a ton of drama, but we have winners and losers to approach.

Winner:
Winner: Dallas Mavericks
Sigh. We were told that the team that exchanged Luka Doncic was so lucky and won the first global choice and a potential superstar to Cooper Flagg. At least we were able to hear someone screaming “Dallas was rigged” on Wednesday.
Loser: ace bailey
The Rutgers star was the king of red flags during the pre-transficiency process with the refusal to work for certain teams and the preference for his landing point. Well, Utah Jazz was not afraid and took it, with Bailey in search and its amazement. Not great for him!
Winner: Duke Basketball
Cooper Flagg, Kon Knueppel and Khaman Maluach were all taken in the top 10. As if the Blue Devils needed another recruitment field!
Loser: Phoenix Suns
Guy, this franchise continues to be confused. They needed help in the center and obtained it in Maluach … but they also exchanged a first round and a first in 2029 against Mark Williams. It is two great men in a few minutes, and their wardrobe is mainly naked with regard to the first negotiable rounds. Given their list problems, it’s a huge mess.
Winner: San Antonio Spurs
Adding Dylan Harper and Carter Bryant to an already solid young base is quite fantastic. If they do not make massive movements during the offseason, they are about to have one of the most growing hearts of the league.

I like Derik Queen. I really do it. Exchanging to obtain it at n ° 13 is intriguing even with Zion Williamson still on the list. But, uh, why did they exchange an unprotected first 2026 in the agreement with the Hawks of Atlanta? This seems risky given the state of the pones. Welp.
Winner: Atlanta Hawks
They obtained the choice of Pélicans and they wrote Asa Newell. Bright.
Loser: Brooklyn Nets
When it is armed with five first-round choices, you want to do something with them, like exchanging a guy you love. The nets have kept them all and the results are … not the best? Maybe that threw darts and hoped that one or two of these choices are unleashed. But this is not the best strategy.
Winner: Yang Hansen
Was it a range? Or did the Portland Trail Blazers get a diamond in the harsh? Never mind. He won by being chosen on Wednesday.
