The Ugreen MagFlow 3-in-1 Wireless Charger seems like the ideal bedside option with its 25-watt speed and flexible charging points. While it looks good, I found it to have a few too many weak points for its high price.

The style is tempting, but the quality is lacking

Ugreen MagFlow 3-in-1 Magnetic Wireless Charger with Flat Phone Charger.

Design-wise, I find the Ugreen MagFlow 3-in-1 Wireless Charger compelling. In its default state, it is compact. The phone charging point on the left side can extend or tilt up to 70 degrees. When the charger is raised, the phone has enough space to be positioned in any direction, vertically or horizontally.

Although the phone charger hinge stays in place no matter how you position it, it’s not the smoothest hinge to move freely. This may be too rigid. I stopped trying to move it frequently. If you want to use sleep mode, you will need to elevate the iPhone charger so that it is propped up higher so that it is not touching the spot next to it.

Next to the phone charger is a 5W spot designed for AirPods. The surface is recessed, so other types of Qi devices may not line up, but compatible AirPods fit well.

On the back is a pop-out Apple Watch charger and a USB-C port (10W) for plugging in an additional device. The spring on the Apple Watch charger is weak so it doesn’t eject well and the whole sliding mechanism feels cheap.

In addition to the phone charger hinge and the cheap Apple Watch charger, I noticed a slight buzzing sound while the device was charging devices. There may be some sort of internal fan at work. The latest series of 25W Qi2 chargers appear to have some sort of active cooling option.

Regardless, there are just a lot of little annoyances with the Ugreen MagFlow 3-in-1. The unit performed as advertised. It didn’t feel seamless or natural to work like some of the other options.

It’s nice that the device comes with a 45W power adapter, but that’s huge. The power adapter is large compared to the size of the entire charger. Be aware that it may not fit in a power strip shared with other outlets.

Comparing the MagFlow 3-in-1 to other 3-in-1 chargers

The Belkin UltraCharge Pro 3-in-1 is one of the premier options offering the fastest wireless charging capabilities to date. It’s compact and well designed, but it’s also well built with an option to turn the fan on or off.

The Nimble Fold 3-in-1 Wireless Charger can be used on a nightstand or packed in a travel bag. Similar to the Belkin product, Nimble’s is well-built, without any flimsy or cheap parts.

Journey’s attractive Nova 3-in-1 Charging Station may have some unique considerations for its design and how it works on everyone’s nightstand, but it at least offers a new approach to charging multiple devices. If you really want to eschew speed in favor of elegance, then Nomad’s Stand One Max remains a viable option after a year on the market.

I used all of these options. Anyone willing to spend more than $100 should probably consider one over the Ugreen MagFlow 3-in-1 Wireless Charger.

The Ugreen MagFlow 3-in-1 Wireless Charger works well. He charged my devices at the listed rates. I even liked the look of the charger upon initial inspection. Ultimately the problem I had with this product was its fit and finish.

The 25W charging speed and the benefit of having a USB-C output port were not enough to ignore the feeling of using the device on a daily basis. I have seen other Ugreen products have more polish. Unfortunately, unless the product is heavily discounted, I simply wouldn’t recommend it over another option.
