Sometimes you encounter a technical problem on an iPhone that makes you laugh more than anything else.

This is what’s currently happening to some photos in the iOS Photos app, per 9to5mac. Various reports on sites like Reddit have confirmed that some photos originally taken on Android phones are showing up with a horrible red filter applied when you view them in the Photos app. You won’t see the filter until you tap on the image, for some reason, so you can’t tell something is wrong from the thumbnail.

It’s apparently not yet clear how this happens, but the good news is that there is a simple solution. According to 9to5mac, simply open an affected photo, tap the Edit button, then tap Revert. This should remove the red filter. Again, this apparently only applies to photos taken on Android phones and saved to iPhones for some reason, so you may not even have any in your library. I certainly didn’t find any in mine.

In any case, it’s more ridiculous than problematic. Just make sure to repair any affected photos before sharing them with anyone else.
