ASUS has just announced its latest gaming computer, the ROG G1000, featuring a color holographic display built right into the side panel. The visuals are made with ROG AniMe Holo, a color hologram technology that makes RGB lighting emerge from water.

The coolest part is the holograms visible through the transparent parts of the case. There aren’t many details on how much you can customize this, but it’s probably something you can create yourself. Aside from the aesthetics, ASUS has equipped the G1000 with truly massive components, starting with the processor. It runs the AMD Ryzen 9 9950X3D processor, which has 16 cores and 32 threads.

This chip is an absolute powerhouse, offering a base clock of 4.4GHz that boosts up to 5.6GHz. It also includes a whopping 145MB total cache, which should keep everything running incredibly fast. The chipset is AMD X870.

For graphics, you’re looking at the high end with the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5090. This GPU comes with 24GB of GDDR7 VRAM. You can expect phenomenal performance on all modern titles for years with this card.

The desktop offers plenty of connectivity with one HDMI output and three DisplayPort outputs. When you look at memory and storage, the G1000 maintains its excessive status. It comes standard with 64GB of fast 6000MHz DDR5 RAM, configured as two 32GB sticks. If you’re a power user, the motherboard supports four DDR5 U-DIMM slots, allowing users to expand the memory capacity up to 192GB, which is frankly amazing for a gaming PC.

Storage is also fast, thanks to a 2TB M.2 NVMe PCIe 5.0 SSD right out of the box. The motherboard has four M.2 slots in total, so you’ll have plenty of room to add more super-fast storage down the line, alongside four traditional SATA 6.0Gbps ports.

The G1000 relies on a massive 420mm all-in-one liquid cooler to control the Ryzen CPU. The chassis also features the Tri-Zone Airflow design. Internally, the layout is divided into three insulated zones, preventing hot components like the GPU from heating up the CPU chamber.

The ROG Thermal Atrium is an independent airflow channel designed to draw cool air into the system. The physical design of the case is also designed for enthusiasts who love to tinker. It features a completely tool-free design. This includes easy replacement access and a quick-release GPU bracket, which allows users to easily perform maintenance or upgrade components without having to whip out a screwdriver.

The power supply is a robust 1000W unit that is 80+ Gold certified, so it has enough stable power for the 5090 and the high-end Ryzen chip. Connectivity comes with what you’d expect from a modern PC, supporting Wi-Fi 7 with a triple-band system. For wired connections, you get the best of both worlds with one 10Gb Ethernet port and one 2.5Gb Ethernet port.

For USB ports, you also get two USB4 ports, which support display output and power delivery. You also get multiple USB 3.2 Gen 2 and Gen 2×2 Type-C ports, which can deliver transfer speeds of up to 20Gbps.

It is worth noting that the processor includes an XDNA NPU rated at 50 TOP. It’s AI that Windows loves, and it makes sense because it comes with Windows 11 Pro. ASUS also includes some great peripherals in the box. You get the ROG Gladius III Wireless AimPoint Mouse and the ROG Strix Scope II 96 Wireless Keyboard.

ASUS hasn’t given a price or release date, but you should stay tuned for more information as the year progresses.
