Bad Fuel ‘Possible’ – RedState

During a “press conference” aboard Air Force One early Monday morning, President Trump ruled out foul play while discussing the possible causes of two separate plane crashes over the weekend. The president cited bad fuel as a possible cause.
President Donald Trump said the United States does not suspect foul play in two separate crashes of U.S. Navy aircraft in the South China Sea over the weekend.
Trump made the statement during a meeting with reporters aboard Air Force One, saying he hoped to get answers soon about the crashes. One possibility he was given was that the planes were running low on fuel, the president said.
“You have been informed of the incident, on the Nimitz, both a fighter jet and a helicopter?” » asked a journalist.
“I’ve heard about it, yes,” Trump replied.
Both planes typically use JP-5 or JP-8 aviation fuel, so it is possible that both planes obtained fuel from the same contaminated source – if that is indeed what happened. We note with relief that all five airmen were found alive and are expected to recover.
The president continues:
“Do you know what happened there? What was it?” » asked the journalist.
“They’re going to let me know very soon. I think they should be able to find out. It could be bad fuel. I mean, it’s possible it could be bad fuel. It’s very unusual for that to happen,” Trump said.
“You don’t think it was foul play or anything?” insisted the journalist.
“No, I don’t,” Trump replied. “They think it might be bad fuel.”
This would explain two crashes of two planes, taking off from the same bridge, on the same day. As of this writing, there has been no official statement from the US Navy.
