Three Things I Liked About Garmin’s Sleep Band, After My First Night

I woke up this morning from my first night with the Garmin index sleep group, and so far, that’s exactly what I hoped – the superb comfortable and requires no thought to use. You just put it when you go to bed, and everything is supported. However, I am not yet convinced that it is worth $ 170. (I work on a complete examination of this device, and I will compare it to his rivals of Whoop and Amazfit.)
You don’t have to play with the application to make it work
All I had to do was to twin it and define my intelligent alarm in the application, then put it aside to bedtime. (Yes, I try the intelligent alarm – in the process of working better for me than the Intelligent alarm on the vivoactive 6.)
Better still, you I don’t need your phone to repeat the alarm In the morning, or even to turn it off. When the sweet buzzing woke me up, I stretched my hand and slap my arm. Nothing. So I hit the device twice, and it was the charm. It gave a little recognition buzz and let me sleep for a few more minutes.
On the alarms of the phone, I always mix the “stop” and “snooze” buttons in my grogginess. I was wondering what I was supposed to do here when I wanted to completely turn off the alarm. Finally, I realized that the answer was simpler than I thought: you simply remove the group, and he knows that you are awake.
It’s ridiculously comfortable
I do not know how thin and wide the group is going to wear, and I worry if it could be fray or a pill. But while I went to bed, I appreciated that it was not made of WatchBand style elastic. (I wore Whoop Biceps group in bed several times, and that’s good, but it’s better.)
The strap is 2.5 inches wide and has soft velcro scratches throughout its length. (I was between the sizes and I got the small band / medium; it adapts well.) The fabric is expandable. It therefore does not put pressure on a part of your arm and has no edges that dig.
The vibration of the alarm is soft
It is probably both a plus and less. The vibration level has been set by default on the three highest levels. When he buzzed to wake up, there were cycles of four buzzing: light, medium, harder, harder, then start again with the light. This allowed me to answer the lighter buzz when I felt it, if I slept slightly, but I really woke up very well if I slept through this part.
What do you think so far?
And, yes, I tested this through several rehearsal cycles in one morning. For science.
What I am still curious
My biggest question about this device is whether the smart alarm will really work. I have my doubts based on my experience with the Vivoactive 6, the first Garmin to present an intelligent alarm. Each evening, I tested this watch, I would put a wake -up window from 7:00 a.m. to 7:30 a.m., and every morning, I would be woken up at 7:30 am at the point.
I also want to see how the group resists wear. He’s machine washable, they say. Additional bands cost $ 49.99, so they better last. I do not pay much attention to the examination of the groups on most devices, as you can usually take a more pleasant watch group for $ 10-20 if you do not like the one your watch has come. But when there is only one option there, it is better to be good.
