Tiny11’s free update strips down Windows 11 for Windows 10 fans

As the official end of the support approaches Windows 10, there is another option that can help relieve pain for Windows 10 users in transition to Windows 11: Tiny11 Builder.
Tiny11 has been released for a few years now; In fact, we wrote for the last time on Tiny11 in 2023. He now received a substantial update, and the objective has changed slightly: now, it is an option for those who do not want to face the bloating or the ad that Windows 11 brings.
“After more than a year (for which I am really sorry) without updates, Tiny11 Builder is now a much more complete and flexible solution – a script is suitable for everyone,” wrote Ntdevlabs, the developer. “In addition, it is a soaking stone for an even more extensive solution.”
Essentially, Tiny11 Builder takes an ISO Windows 11, the load, but cuts a ton of integrated Windows applications, telemetry and “ads” to use specific Windows features. Yes, a Windows 10 user will be forced to go to Windows 11. The mission of Tiny11 Builder, however, is to strip Windows 11 with its essential elements, even if it always means managing the new Windows 11 start menu, the relatively static taskbar or other features. There is another advantage, however: Tiny 11 Builder removes the need for a Microsoft account.
Tiny11 Builder can be downloaded for free from Github, from its developer, NTDEV or NetDevlabs. You will need to download the ISO Windows 11 from Microsoft, launch PowerShell, then follow the script instructions. It is certainly not as easy as an executable with one click, but it does not seem too difficult. You can use it on “any” version of Windows, says the developer, and he will also run on Windows on Arm.
Given that Tiny11 Builder contrasts a few unnecessary functions (for the developer, in any case) of Windows 11, he leaves what you care: security updates, fixes and other features that will ensure that your PC is secure and up to date. What happens if the patch tries to force Microsoft Edge, that Tiny11 deletes? This should not happen, but the developer notes that there is an “in progress battle” between the abolition of Outlook and Dev Home, which Windows apparently continues to try to restore.
Tiny11 removes a ton of Windows applications:
- Clipchamp
- News
- Weather report
- Xbox
- Embarrassed
- Stage
- Office center
- Lonely
- Peopleapp
- Powerautomate
- Do
- Alarms
- Mail and calendar
- Commentary
- Cards
- Tape recorder
- Your phone
- Multimedia player
- Suddenly
- Internet Explorer
- Math PC tablet
- Edge
- OneDrive
The developer does not seem to be completely finished, noting that he would like to implement better controls on the applications to be deleted and which for the same. Interestingly, although the developer’s announcement lists teams as one of the targeted applications to be deleted, the list of the Github page does not mention it. (Tom’s equipment noted the tweet as well as update the Tiny11 page.)
The same page also lists a Tiny11Coremaker option, but it is more a development platform and must be ignored.
As you probably know, Windows 10 support expires on October 14, 2025. Users will have to download and switch to Windows 11 before that, or risk working on an unwanted system.
Otherwise, consumers can pay Microsoft $ 30 for one year of Windows 10 support fixes. Alternatively, there are two free options: activate Windows backup (which requires a Microsoft account) or exchange 1,000 Microsoft Rewards points instead. Otherwise, you will have to go to Windows 11, where the last update of Tiny11 provides an alternative to a complete copy of Windows 11.
