To Trekkies Everywhere – Happy Star Trek Day! – RedState

59 years ago today, a new strange world, new lives and new civilizations, all broke out on American television screens. That day in 1966 was the first of the masterpiece of Gene Roddenberry: the original star trek. I was very young that day (five, in fact), but I quickly developed a fascination for the series, and later the films.
In that I have a lot of company – millions of people, around the world, who are all fans of Star Trek.
The year of 2026 marks a historic chapter for Star Trek As the legendary franchise will celebrate its 60th anniversary of next year Star Trek Day (September 8, 2026).
Today, to celebrate Star Trek Day, it was announced that the 60th celebrations will officially start in January 2026, with notable partnerships, new launches and memorable moments throughout the year.
Star Trek has, over the years, broke the new borders on WOKE NINCOPERY, but the original remains as it was: a television programming enough. He made dominant science fiction, and although he borrowed elements from so disparate sources such as the “Lensman” series by Edward Elmer “Doc” and the novels “Horatio Hornblower” by CS Forester, he reduced many new grass in its own right.
The franchise is not without its ups and downs. I have never passed too much beyond the original series and the original distribution, because the new shows did not seem to have the same punch. There was simply not another James Tiberius Kirk to compare to the performance of William Shatner. I am quite certain that if you have dropped Kirk from Shatner, say, the universe of Star Wars, that Captain James T. Kirk would stage an invasion to a man of the Death Star, Drop-Kick Dark Vador in a SAS and blow it, pull it on the Emal Emperor Palpatine in the face with a phaser to “reduce the particles, particles” Han Solo, and whisk Princess Leia has a head-to-one at the nearest Motel Space.
But after this performance, the biggest of all time (goat) Kirk? Meh.

The original distribution films were also quite good, which is partly done partly by incredible support actors; The best was almost certainly “Khan” by Ricardo Montalbán, returning to the character of the television show in “Star Trek II – The Wrath of Khan”.

It is rather surprising to think that it has been 59 years that it all started. Few people can claim to have created a whole universe, but Gene Roddenberry could. Now fans are preparing to celebrate 60 years.

“Star Trek”, in fact, inspired me to venture into my own career as a science fiction writer. I tried Star-Trekkian Space Opera with the first two books of a trilogy (working on a third), those who are “The Crider Chronicles” and “Sky of Diamonds”, and I even tried my hand in alternative history, with “Nova Roma: de Itinere in Occasum” and “Nova Roma: Quaestu Pro Nova Terra. “I am not Isaac Asimov (but then, nobody is), but I had fun, and I” star trek “to thank for at least some of this.
So if you’re a star Trek fan, it’s your day. Pour yourself a Romulian beer and spend some time looking at some of the exploits of Captain James T. Kirk and his fearless group. Today, it’s really a good day at the frenzy! Neither Kal-Tor Etek Seshaya Abru Wuh Ku-San, Heh my Wuh toast Tor Wak Hal-Tor K ‘, Heh Eifa Wa Tor Sarlah!
