The Surface Laptop Is $400 Off

Are you looking for Looking for a new Windows laptop to get some work done at your local coffee shop? You can get the 15-inch Microsoft Surface Laptop at Best Buy for $1,110, which is $400 off the usual price of $1,500. It’s our favorite Windows laptop for non-gamers, and it offers smooth performance and excellent battery life.
There are big improvements to the screen for this generation, with thinner bezels that give you more real estate without increasing the bulk. Even if you don’t game much, the 120Hz refresh rate will help everyday tasks run smoothly, and it’s bright enough to get some work done, even when you’re sitting outside. It’s also a touchscreen, although Windows isn’t the most user-friendly operating system.
It’s powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon X Elite, a smooth ARM processor for everyday computing and with impressive battery life. After using the laptop for most of the workday at 50% brightness, our reviewer Brenda Stolyar still had over 20% battery left. The discounted model has 16GB of memory and 512GB of storage, a typical configuration for laptops at this price point. It also has the ports you’d expect from a mid-range laptop, including two USB-C/Thunderbolt 4 ports, plus a single USB-A port just in case, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and the Surface Connect magnetic charging port.
Although the Surface Laptop is Copilot compatible, we didn’t find the suite of AI tools as compelling or useful. There’s a dedicated key to access the Copilot chatbot, as well as live captioning for videos, and CoCreator lets you draw in Paint and then prompt it to generate an AI image. The most potentially useful feature is Recall, which regularly takes screenshots to serve as a verifiable history of your activity, but the privacy implications aren’t very appealing.
If you want to take advantage of this deal, you can find the 15-inch Surface Laptop for $1,100 at Best Buy in black or platinum. We also maintain a list of our favorite laptops with the latest and greatest laptops for Windows and macOS, and even gaming choices if that’s more your speed.
