IDF reserve officer severely wounded by terorist gunfire near Gaza’s yellow line

The Israeli military said armored units and Israeli Air Force aircraft struck targets in the area and called the incident a blatant violation of the existing ceasefire agreement.
An IDF reserve officer was seriously injured Tuesday evening during a routine operational activity near the Yellow Line in northern Gaza after terrorists opened fire on troops, the army confirmed Wednesday.
The police officer was evacuated to a hospital and his family was notified, according to the army. The Israeli military said armored units and Israeli Air Force aircraft struck targets in the area and called the incident a blatant violation of the existing ceasefire agreement.
Additionally, earlier Tuesday, terrorists in Jericho threw stones at IDF soldiers. The soldiers responded by opening fire, killing one of the terrorists and injuring several others.

No IDF injuries were reported during the incident.
Terrorist activity continues in Gaza and West Bank as ceasefire phase II advances
This week, Israel fully reopened the Rafah border crossing between Gaza and Egypt to pedestrians, the first step toward Phase II of the U.S.-backed ceasefire agreement between Israel and Hamas.
On Tuesday, US envoy Steve Witkoff arrived in Israel to meet with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to discuss, among other things, the disarmament of Hamas and the demilitarization of the Gaza Strip.
